Infected insect bites

Adults and children aged 1 year and over.

The most common symptoms of an infected insect bite are:

• Pus – infected insect bites often create pus in or around the site of the bite
• Swollen glands
• Swelling and redness around the bite
• Increased pain levels around the bite
• Fever
• Chills
